This is an Asonia clock im not sure of the year its made but im pretty sure its a rare type i cant seem to find it to give you details..if anyone knows please message me jus so i know cause im curious about it. My grandmother had this as she lived in NY at the time , was handed down to me. I can only read Asonia on the inside of the clock and also has NY imprinted in it. It does chime and work fine. I ve had the clock for some time so here it is up for sale, to me its very unique and makes a great piece to place in any home. Hi, I am selling some of my clocks from my personal collection. I am not a dealer that just sells anything he gets his hands on in any old condition. These clocks are cleaned and cared for by someone that lovers them. I take great pride in my pieces and want them to go to a good home where someone will enjoy them. If you are not familiar with Seth Thomas clocks. they are the most sought after clocks because of the Adamantine finish. They polish up very nice, as opposed to black painted wood cases. The ornaments are just the best. Celluloid columns, ornate dials, copper wash feet and lions heads. This has all the original antique parts, nothing replaced. It just dont get any better then a Seth Thomas. I pack my items well and ship promt. I hope you find something you like. i will probably list some more over the weeks time, so check em out. (Note these clocks are over 100 years old, as nice as the items are, they still can expect to have very minor wear due to its age. Antique Vtg OSWALD Rotating Eye Clock BLACK FOREST Dog Carving German Germany EXC ** 99cent starting price- Don't miss out! ** Here is a 1920's {?} Oswald Black Forest "Rotating Eyes" clock in excellent aesthetic condition. Made in Germany. One owner {100 year old}. Dog has a long, bearded snout with large overhanging eyebrows and big inset eyes. Wonderful hand carved wood or engineered composition caricature. Excellent, original finish throughout with an even satin luster. No chips, cracks or missing pieces. A tiny wear mark on the top of upper right paw. No gouges, scratches, or any other wear to speak of. Paint on eyes is excellent. Brass controls are in good condition. Hour and minute settings work. The lever to select hours and minutes is "stiff" and probably needs lubricated, but works. The winder "winds" continuously. There is proper resistance when winding, and there is some type of spring "pop" every two full rotations. I am assuming the clock is overwound or a mechanism will need repaired. Clock currently does not work/tick. Front is marked "Germany". Back is marked "ges gesch" and "OSWALD GERMANY". Bottom felt is in good condition. Please feel free to ask any questions or advise.
