84892304636277750 GERMAN JUNGHANS ANTIQUE MANTLE CLOCK WESTMINSTER CHIME

This is a SUPERIOR example of a Very Large German Very High Quality 100% ALL ORIGINAL Bracket Mantle Clock with WESTMINSTER CHIMES in Near Perfect condition WITH A LARGE HEAVY DUTY HIGH END MOVEMENT. This is a VERY outstanding HEAVY DUTY BEAUTIFUL clock. It was made in Germany circa the early 1900s and is signed. (The heavy duty movement is signed) German clocks were the best made in the world with Junghans being a very popular maker of very fine clocks. The German clocks in our collection have not yet required any servicing and have kept perfect time for many, many years. I like them very much as the movement are very precision, heavy duty and easy to service. This particular model is in near perfect, 100% ALL ORIGINAL condition. It has an 8-day time and strike WESTMINSTER movement, which chimes on every quarter hour and also strikes the hours on the hour on 5 chime rods with a very very beautiful sound. The clock strikes on the quarter-hour and counts the hours on the hour on 5 chime rods. It plays 4 notes at the first ¼, 8 notes on the half hour, 12 notes on the ¾ hour and 16 notes plus strikes the hour on the hour! The movement is clean and runs very well, keeps good time. We have included some pictures of the movement and the chime rods also – so you can see this clocks “inner beauty”! This clock is signed on the movement. (See picture) This clock is very large and very heavy and measures 17 inches high, 12 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. Has its original heavy bevel glass on the door. This would be the highlight of any mantle. The clock has a nice quiet way it ticks also. The case is beautiful! All parts are complete. Very beautiful wood with the perfect original dark finish. The fancy dial is made of silver with raised numbers in superior condition; all the numbers are original and crisp. The metal part surrounding the dial is also in perfect condition. The original front door works great. Complete with the original pendulum and the original key. Quite rare for a clock to retain its original pendulum and key! The back door is original – works great also! What a wonderful clock. These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working perfectly after 90 years! And the truly amazing thing it is ready for the next 200 years, and will probably run indefinitely with some tender loving care. Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment. Each one has a unique quality, as well as appreciating in value and beauty with age. You will become attached to your antique clocks and they will become a meaningful and important part of your life adding untold joy each day you own them. They can be handed down from one generation to another as they increase daily in value. Antique clocks serve many purposes other than being useful in telling time, decorative in your home, a valuable asset in your estate and above all a faithful servant and friend which will be true to you to the end of time. This clock will be packed VERY CAREFULLY to insure a safe delivery and the buyer is to pay $28.50 for shipping, packing and ins. This clock is large and very heavy and will require a large carton, and we would like to use lots of extra packing to insure a safe delivery. International is exact charge. I will gladly answer any questions via email promptly. I have always hated that "reserve" when I have bid so this fine clock has no reserve, with a very very (gulp) low starting bid. We love these clocks and I will be glad to help you set up your new clock, or answer questions long after the sale via email.
